Voigtlander VC II light meter

I finally decided to upgrade my meter, and this time I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone by dropping some cash for this puppy, since it also will motivate me to get my Leica M3 out more. Two things I didn’t expect when I got the VCII, 1. It’s a smaller than I expected, the meter is only about a quarter of my palm, then there’s the realization that it didn’t have flash metering, which I thought it had (for the price).

With that sad, I’m very happy about the purchase, the experience is very unique, there are just two dials for you to toggle with – the shutter and aperture (asa is built on the shutter dial), it doesn’t get any easier than that. I also love how the device is designed to turn its self after 10 seconds automatically because my last meter had a sensitive on switch and ran out of juice by its self on several occasions.
