So in Beijing nowadays there are not many famous courtyards left. One of the few survived ones is the HeShen Mansion, or known as Prince Gong Mansion. So towards the back of his mansion, he had a massive storage building. To mark what’s stored where he asked the builders to build all these different windows to help him remember. I just thought it’s a pretty good gif opportunity.
