I didn't do much of the work, but certainly glad to be metioned in D&AD this year. I want to give big big props to Brendan Monroe, and Jason Aspes for making these two projects come to real life, and of course, Mr Andersson.

On my way home.

Working late.
Mullen sponsored the employees to see what will become of us next year. We're moving into a new building in downtown Boston.

Pininfarina designed Boston trains, thats pretty crazy.

Architect speaking.

I hope I get a window office :-/

Allie again, glowing again, since she's going to see her dream guy right after this.

Having dinner right by Penguins in Boston Aquarium.

Starting to have somethings in my new office now, its still very scarce, but... slowly getting there. I feel like... Don Draper now since I've got an office... less than a quarter of his in the show that is, haha.

The falling deceased. Summer is quietly creeping away, as it snatches the life out of a cicada. - On Nui's Rear Bumper, Mullen parking lot.

Man, I can't get enough lobsters, they're so good. On Friday there was the all you can eat Lobster bowl! Allie brought the whole table down though, by saying its basically the rat of the sea, and its true :-/ Anyways, I think this is like, my high point of this summer, I ate so much good food at the Mullen office. The weather's been awesome too lately, I'm in a good mood.
Mullen had its last Summer Party at the Manor House today. I've had a huge lunch. I love New England Lobster!

Mmm Lobster... Uhrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Allie, just glowing after her date with her dream guy. Damn you Hughes, you can't be this happy!

I'm absolutely infatuated with these brand new mega constructions in Beijing. Looking out from HP building and seeing the CCTV tower being finished, I wonder what's it like to work in there. Its a massive 550,000 suare meter development housing the entire porcess of tv program making. There's a second building cleverly named "TVCC" next to the tower, which you can kind of see through that "window" of the tower. It'll be a hotel and visitor center.
I personally don't have a whole lot respect for the station its self though. Its a massive bureaucratic entity much like China its self. Its channel idents are pathetic, CCTV logo is a knock off of CNN's, no consistency cross the board. For example, while CCTV news channel's identity being a spinning yellow+black globe. CCTV money / finance channel just plagiarized the ever so famous Sony Bravia "balls" commercial. Its a bunch of bouncing red balls instead of multi color robber balls going through a city.. and... they waited for traffic lights.
anyways, back to HP meeting, and for those of you curious souls that still haven't seen the Sony Bravia spot i mentioned, here is the link : http://bravia.sony.eu/bravia-html/balls-thead.asp
PS. from now on my polaroid pictures will be presented without borders.
"Chinese Maza Bling Baby... Jello, Famas Western Delicacy." This actually is one of my favorite commercials. I still remember that day where I watched in John Evan's Class and laughed really hard about it. Despite its over the top racial connotations, it's one of those rare moments where I think the intention is possitive. It's to make a Chinese baby look cuter than he already is. A message to Chinese people, our Chinese babies were actually considered cuter than western babies once upon a time. Not the other way around like now in China.

Finally, I got this from Jenny and Olivia today. Thanks :). Its really tough to have a clio in an agency here in China, Thanks motorola for taking a chance on me, even when you guys decided not to run the spot in China afterwards :)

Breakfast: Soy milk plus steamed dumplings. I didn't think much about it when production people offered to order them for me. After all, I've had both for about a thousand times already, they have become things you just shove down your mouth without much reaction. Guess I was wrong that morning when I had these. First of all, when it comes to steamed dumplings, they usually have thick skins, because steam tend to melt the bread if its thin. This time, I was amazed, its like... almost steamed wontons, they're really thin, and the stuffing is really good too. The soy milk, is also very delicious, nice easy- to -open- package that some of the beijing restaurant could really take note of.

Had dinner at Lao Nong Tang. From its name, and its nice niche typeface design, I totally expected nice service and excellent food. I... as wrong again, the restaurant is just average. Food.. tollerable, but when it comes to service its shit. I don't mind being asked if I wanted to try some expensive dishes, or drink their overpriced tea, but being repeatedly asked by the waitress is annoying, then the dishes were slow, and overpriced. I won't go back to Lao Nong Tang again.

walking out of the restaurant, I saw these two statues, and thought to my self, o, cool, year of the mouse, gold mouse, i get it.

then I waked around it, they have bear faces!!!! Its year of the bear mouse!!! run.....

Product shoot with Henry from Untold images. The Studio is in a cool place, below "MBO" advertising. Hehehe. I wonder how long it took the creatives there to come up with the logo, nice one guys.

Stayed in a Hotel service apartment opposite of this building. My building is identical to this one. :-/

Need to cover 8 angles in one night... How exciting...

Hard work at the new place is starting to pay off. For those of you that have time tomorrow (Dec 27th) come to 798 at 1:30, and check out some of our work for HP.

Sorry Momo, I'm working on it...

Ok, I know its not THAT big of a deal. Campaign Brief isn't exactly Vogue or Wallpaper, its an industry magazine after all, but hey, its the first time my ad made it on a cover. Very happy about that.
Okey, now I know this happened a while back but I'd like to use this opportunity to say, WK beijing, you can take that "designer" position and shove it. ;-)

One silver on Cut through spot, and 3 finalists, ok I guess. :-/

Its embarrassing to admit, but at the age of 28, I sometimes can still be amazingly boyish. Brash, hurtful, immature, and at other times, trustful, and, can be easily manipulated. This "trait" so to speak, or flaw, depends how one looks at it, had followed me consistently through out my life. Contrary to what many thinks, I don't mind it as part of my personality. It provides me with a simplified world view, a perspective adult often loses as they get older, a pure, idealistic, sometimes irrational and ridiculous narration of what happened to people around me, and my self. Well, it is this trait that helped me to dream up some work this year that got into London International Awards. Go Airbus Go! Also, a big thanks to Kazu Kibishi and Rad Sechrist for visualizing them, I will let you guys know if and when these will bring in some statues.

Just got back from Italy. Before Italy trip I also went to Shanghai for three days. Small gathering of some creatives from 4 Saatchi offices. The meeting was alright, met some cool people from various parts of the world. I'm also glad I saw some friends living down there. P.S. Thanks a lot tiff, for conveniently being in Dong Guan that week. :-/
