Coldplay Live in Boston 10 29 08

| | Comments (0)

When I was dazed and confused with life, When I had a real hard time dealing with a break up. When I was enjoying a beautiful moment all by my self and with friends. Coldplay was there in some of the best and worst moments of my life. I love them. Their songs just clicked with me. From Yellow, to Scientist, to Viva La Vida, I liked pretty much all of their songs. Finally, I got to see them live in Boston.

The stadium just got initiated with their brand new 2008 NBA champion flag. I had no idea how big this stadium is.

Allie @ coldplay concert.png
Allie, she's such a sweetheart, came out with me as I obviously can't go to this all by my self. Thanks dude!, hehe.

The concert was absolutely amazing! I took some crappy clips.

In My Place.

They said some nice things about Boston.

They then said some nice things about Palin and Obama

The videos, can't do the concert its' justice. The moment this song came on, the entire stadium was Yellow. It was absolutely amazing!

Seal of Madrid.png

The coat of arms of Madrid. It's uninspiring, and yet its everywhere in the city. Its basically a bear under a berry tree, because appearently a lot of bears used to roam in the area, and... you guessed it, berry trees. No dragons , sphinx, nor unicorns, just... what it is.

Polaroid of The Week

Sagrada Familia, Barcelona.png

My week in Europe was inspiring, exciting, and delicious. I went all film this time, so that means it'll take a week before I put anything up, but for now, I will post some Polaroids. The above is the famous Gaudi Church in Barcelona. I'm absolutely captivated by it. Gaudi is such a genius as well as a avid observer and hard worker. Also thanks to Jim from work, he gave me packs of Time Zero Polaroids, these are really hard to come by, though it deteriated a bit, it gave out amazing pictures non the less. Polaroid, I really wish you can keep the film business alive.

MLB game in beijing.png
Beijing's olympic standard baseball field is really really ... up to standards, sitting here i could've mistaken my self watching the game in Chicago, or SF.

Before Taipei weekend, I went to the first ever Major League Baseball game in China. Despite the fact that Chinese people haven't a clue what baseball is about, nor care, MLB decided to try to come into the country just like MBA and NFL.

I personally don't really care for the game either, but I really do enjoy sitting with friends on a sunny afternoon eating hot dogs and drink... coke, sorry, my liver can't really stand any alcohol at all. Nick's lovely girlfriend Vanessa managed to get some hugely popular tickets 1200 rmb each, and the extra one managed to land in my hand.

The game is between Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres, when I told this to Adam Dines, he almost cried, hehe, and when I told him that MLB China's logo is the same logo except its red and yellow, think he did cry. Anyways, I loved the venue, except... THEY DON'T SELL HOT DOGS IN THE STAND!!! and there were only one food vender outside. We stood inline for half an hour and managed to get some beers and sprites. The game is alright, there were some exciting high lights, and in the end Padres won in the 8th. Thanks Nick for bringing my name up to Van.

NanShan skii trip

hou shuang in nanshan.jpg

Nicholas and friends invited me for a skiing trip to NanShan Skiing resort. Hou Shuang was brave enough to take this endeavor. For you gossipy people in Ogilvy, isn't this just one more juicy story for you to pass on :), ooooh "goodie goodie" right?. Well, we're good friends, and I had fun with her. She's such a sweet heart, skiing with Nick's girl friend as me and Nick set out to the harder course, never whined and complained, loved that about a girl. Nick, sorry, gloves kept me from taking pictures of you and your GF, and besides guys taking pictures of each other on top of a hard course is a bit gay, hehe. Next time I guess.

Jessica initiated a snowboarding trip to this past Sunday. It was an well thought plan, lift ticket is free, and so is the 2 hour bus ride to the place. 7 of us are all motivated and ready. I waited all week for it, on Saturday, I woke up early, took my brand new board I bought last spring and took it to fit a kick ass biding. Then, of course, Jessica got sick, Du Yi have to take care of her, and one by one, EVERYONE bails on the trip. Absolutely no one wanted to be any part of it despite my best effort to sway them. I told them how fun it would be, how cheap it is, but... nope, absolutely nobody wanted it to go.

Ok, So I thought to my self, maybe I don't have a circle of friends in beijing that would do anything anytime any day with me. I'm in some way still very much alone and without a support system here. I met a lot of people I liked, initially through work, and then through co-workers, new friends, and friends' friends. I was treated nicely, but... when all things are said and done, I was never really an insider, nor person to be trusted...

Just when I started to get depressed though, Wei Ling called, and out of all the people, she gave me a simple "sure" without even asking when and where it would be. What an fucking awesome girl! We had fun that day, thanks Wei Ling :), it really meant a lot to me :), You... are in my circle of trust now, hehe.

O, and I loved my board, it was hard to control in the beginning, but, later on, it worked out. Its a burton vapor, yeah, I know, i'm not THAT good, but what can I say, I'm into it, hehe.

I know the pictures don't look like it, but out of all days, we picked the coldest day on record this year to go to a ski park. Still we had tons of fun. Thanks to Liu Xiao Hang, our semi pro snowboarder art buyer, and my North American best friend Roger Yin, I took their advice and wore enough protection to last me through the entire day. Ban Tong on the other hand, was confined to bed all day on Sunday, hahaha.
