Polaroid 700 film discontinued in China?

Polaroid of the Week - My toys.

The price for Polaroid 700 film (known in US as 600) doubled its self since July... After going through my sources here, it seems like the factory in Shanghai is cutting production deliberately either according to polaroid camera sales, or ... about to discontinue it here.

I'm saddened that everyone's jumping on the digital band wagon and abandoning what's once pure, simple and fun. People needs to be reminded of holding a piece of film in their hands, not just looking at them on a screen. Instant film is the only format that thrives on this experience. Think about it, whether its processed film or digital print out, you only hold it for a second, then they go to the album, not with a polaroid.

To support the cause. I will soon have a polaroid section in my site, and best of every week will be posted here. The cameras I use is Polaroid SX-70 and Fuji Instax mini. Friends are welcome to email me their proud polaroid pictures and I will post them here.

Long Live Polaroid!
