Since today is a special day not only for me, I thought I'd post this, my favorite picture of mother.

This is from Vivian Lan, my first gift for my 28th birthday. A music box from the Ghibili museum. I loved it. I went to Ghibli when I was in Tokyo based on her recommendation I loved that place as well. After bitching about work at tasty taste, she gave it to me, wow what a cool gift, I didn't expected it at all. Thanks Vivian ! ^_^

Pretty cool

You know, its pretty extraordinary to finally see some sophistication in a TV commercial paid for by a chinese client. I've always hated Chinese clients' taste, including some of my Chinese MOTO client's. They always hide that bad taste of theirs behind some marketing / sales jargon they think you can't argue with them about. I do sincerely believe that its mostly bad taste mixed with ego, on their part. Here's to 99.9 percent of all Chinese marketing directors.

First of all, Thanks Doug for bringing this back and show me. Very Cool.

Secondly, way to go Art Center for winning all student television/cinema category, Roland must be saying "cool & awesome" by now.

Third, its nice to see my spot won something, I've sacrificed too much for this spot.

Yay...

National Grand Theater

Last weekend, I kindda sorta got "invited" into the National Grand Theater in Chang An Street. I can't say exactly how I was there but ... those of you thats pretty close to me already knew. To see so many landmark buildings being completed in Beijing these days is one of a kind feeling. The importance of The National Grand Theater is that it is the only key landmark building constructed on Chang An Street in this wave of construction, and the only one I liked since the first wave in 50s, which included Tian An Men Square, and People's Great Hall.

It took a great deal of effort to go into the construction site and then inside, so I'm pretty proud of it. I planned a trip back at night but its been delayed by work, I will get to it as soon as possible I guess.
