While I was in LA I saw three films, Letters from Iwo Jima, Breach, and Hannibal Rising. Enjoyed them all, Letters from Iwo Jima probably left the biggest impression on me. I wasn't blown away by it since this is not the first war movie that depicts atrocities committed by both sides of war, scared shitless soldiers, and universal sense of duty and honor. I had high hopes for Breach, which was based on the true story of FBI trying to find its mole. It was great through out but I kept on hopping there'd be bigger climaxes, it turned out to be just a tiny bit flat for me. Hannibal Rising is not a bad try at telling the story of early years of Hannibal, but, this new actor is trying a bit too hard to act like Anthany Hopkins in the other two movies and I find highly fraudulent.

Happy CNY everyone, I'm in LA enjoying the 80 degrees weather and home cooked meals with cleaner water, fresher vegies, and ... well just things safer to take into my system in general.

CNY is one holliday I look forward to the most, more than any other holliday on this planet.

There are three musts in CNY, dumplings, fireworks, and a speical 4hr long tv program from CCTV. Since I'm in LA, fireworks is out, but we made dumlings and I know that CCTV had always broadcasted the program here in LA before, so I was happy non the less.

This CCTV program is broadcasted live on BeiJing first time, which is around 4am in LA, and then, at 8pm in various US timezones. This was how it went during all the years I lived in LA. Of course me being me, took routine for granted. Thinking CCTV will be broadcasting it in US at 8 PM this time, I held out on its 8 rebroadcastings, thats right people there were 3 different stations re-running this show all day during the day, non stop. I held out thinking having dinner and watching this is what I did since I was little, its simply the best way. Of course... non of the stations broadcasted it at 8, they were either running something else or in the middle of it. Godddddddd, I don't want to complain so much but come on CCTV, please take your content with just a little integrety.

Sorry for not having so many pictures posted though, but i mean, they're both 3 day trips, so.

What a director. I didn't really like the plot of the movie, but boy can he direct. I enjoyed it in a purely art direction kindda way. I'd recommend it.
